"Shell True Blue Lady Bug"

The photo of the red boat on its own is the Old Lady Bug from Wellington , original owned and built by Mike Southward. (Len Southwards grandson). Mike campaigned the Ron Jones built GP Hydroplane for several years.

Shell True Blue Lady Bug is the current holder of the World Grand Prix Hydroplane International Speed Record at 179.101 mph - 288.173 kmph .

Mike sold the boat to Australia , the name changed to The Wizard of Oz and was owned and driven by Dan Krusic for 5 years.

The boat had been up for sale for the past four years and recently has been purchased by Tony McCaa from Nelson.
