April - Napier Offshore
![]() Sam Fillmore and Cary Gleeson had the Doosan Boat humming along and a very close battle with Rayglass saw the two boats collide on the last lap both finished with damage which will need repairing before the season closer in Auckland ![]() The Sleepyhead Team had a large Barbecue for the Teams onshore and they also provided a Smoker after the race. Craig Archer checks out how its all Cooking. Lucky the Team had just taken Line Honors as they would not have made another lap. ![]() The Mike Pero race team got off pretty lightly when they broached the boat and collided with the Classic boat Outlaw just after the start of the race Cougar Marine took the win in Formula Honda Many drivers described the conditions today as sloppy Wayne Carson was saying the water was very difficult to read with no consistency in the swells. Most of the dramas on the water yesterday happened away from me which is unlucky for me, such is life. April - Picnic Day(updated)
![]() Rachel Gapper drove well to take out the Ladies Races in "Tempo Too" at the Manawatu Picnic Day Water was pretty good at Manawatu with only a few minor Driftwood problems after the tide had turned. 7 boats fronted up for a fun days racing and many people got to have a run in the passenger seats as well. ![]() Michael Robertson stands on the loud Pedal as he takes off for his first drive with Paul in the copilots seat ![]() Bruce Packer had the little Hydro humming along ![]() ![]() Looks like a strong contender for Driver of the Month? Big Thanks to Paul Robertson and Terry Mckinstry for letting me drive their Race Boats after the Regatta and also to Tim Fellows for letting me do some laps in his Ski Boat. ![]() Brett Mercer in Aftershock won the V8 Challenge at Ngakuru Am working on the gallery's at the moment had a few technical issues to work through think Sleep was a biggie last night. I now have some gallery's that will be password protected they contain full size images for various Media to use etc. All the images in those gallery's will still be put into the public Gallery's as small internet friendly pics.(some of us still live in the dark ages of dial up) 13th

![]() Terry Mckinstry in First Offence trying hard to hold off Going Going Gone and Aftershock in the first Race of the Day ![]() Selwyn Coker is Driving Fair Warning Today. Looks like a quiet day with two mixed classes running plus the V8 challenge later on in the Day Everyone wants to look at the Offshore pics for some reason? Making a meal of my Battery Power though will do an update later this afternoon if things are still working. 13th
April - Whitianga Offshore
![]() Shes an old boat that races in the classics with up to 5 people on board but it still flys ![]() Dawn at Whitianga and you might have thought we were in for a another flat race. ![]() Race Winners Cure Kids Very Choppy sea at Whitianga made for some great Racing. Conditions meant only half the laps were run with everyone racing to survive. The Cure Kids Boat took line honors with Addictive coming home 1st in Superboat Lites and Cougar Marine 1st in Formula Honda. With Konica Minolta taking out 1st in his Class Click the Logo below to see results and Images from the day. ![]() More Pictures from the Whitianga will make there way onto my Gallery later in the week. ![]() I'm currently driving to Ngakuru for the Circuit Boat Racing down there Scott Coker is running his GP Engine which should be Good. Not sure what the Connection is like there but Pictures will be up during the week either way. 6th
April - Wairarapa Regatta
![]() Race of the weekend would have to go to Daniel Pollack in Undertaker and Tracy Gapper in Tempo Too who battled side by side in there first race on Saturday It was a very enjoyable Weekend at the Wairarapa. No Vodafone mobile Internet Service out there. The Weather did its best to rain on everyone's weekend but all the Races were ran and there were no Major incidents although the Far bank proved to be a very popular place to park the boats. The Club would like to thank those who made the effort to attend the Regatta and everyone who helped make the event tick over nicely. ![]() Steve Mathieson in Midnight was humming on Sunday and the Steering Wheel stayed on to eh. Steve took home quite a bit of Silverware over the weekend ![]() Mike Wotton in Bowtie Boogie took out the North Island Pro Stock Title and the Barney Rhodes Memorial. ![]() John Hallet in Buckshot won the North Island Series 3000 Title but late on Saturday ran the boat up on a shingle bank bending the rudder and damaged the Prop More Pictures will be added to the Gallery. Help the Club Celebrate 60 years of Racing Featured Events are the North Island Series 3000 & North Island Pro Stock & Barney Rhodes Memorial. Camp at the Clubrooms and enjoy a sociable evening and the Last night of Daylight Savings. This year is a make or break year for the Club so your support would be appreciated.
