Remember to check the 2012 NZF1 Powerboat Tour at Lake Karapiro on the 3rd and 4th of March as they’re apart of the EC Griffith Cup Weekend.

The Demon Monter Truck team will be attempting to break the world record for the longest time a monster truck drives in water at Lake Karapiro on the 3rd and 4th March 2012 as part of the EC Griffith Cup GP Hydroplane event. Here are some shots of the test at Lake Taupo not long ago.

Round One overall results: Renegade 400 points, GP1 300 points, Fair Warning 225 points, Annihilator 2 169 points.

Update one: Driver briefing is on now, with practice starting in 15 minutes. I will be updating this post throughout the day. New updates will start with (Update one, Update two etc) we also have the Facebook pages, so if you have questions, ask there.

Update two: Seven GP boats have hit the water for testing. With looking good. The Boss and Annihilator Boat Boats are working through engine dramas.

Update three: Earlier we had GP flying laps. I’m on the water at the moment so don’t have lap times. But annihilator 2, GP1, the boss, annihilator 1 and renegade all looking strong.

Update four: Heat 1a unofficial results: GP1 – 1st, Fair Warning – 2nd, Annihilator 2 – 3rd.
