The Wanganui Motor Boat Club will host the River City 3000, North Island Procom, King of the River and Matt Morrison Memorial Downtown Wanganui on 2nd February 2008 in conjunction with the NZGP Regatta held the same weekend. There will be class racing made available for you on the Sunday as well.

Log Boom
The NZGP Club had a log boom made for the river last season. Fortunately the tides where excellent and we did not need to use the Boom. The tides we have for this event are even better that last season so other than bad weather we expect the river to be in top condition.

 

Hospitality / Functions at the Red (Anzac Parade)

Friday 1st
Boats on display behind Chronicle from Midday. Security onsite from 5pm. We would like the majority of boats in the pit area on Friday a site plan of the pits will be sent to you prior to the event

Get together on Friday night at The Red, meet sponsors from 6pm
Bar meals available, Band from 9pm.

Saturday 2nd
Hydroplane Hotties Competition 6-9pm hosted by The Rock!
Bar meals available, band from 9pm.
This Function will now be held at Stellar's at the Bottom of Victoria Avenue

Sunday 3rd
Prize Giving at The Red at 5.30pm sharp.
We will endeavor to have racing finished early for those of you who need to get away.
Bar meals available and band will start after prize giving finished.
